EXPERIENCE:

   

  • Spokesperson for "Go Red For Women" for Saint Thomas Heart in Nashville; a campaign to educate women about heart disease. 
     

  • Correspondent for Convention Television in Nashville. Covered Country Radio Convention. Reports broadcast throughout convention center and fed to attendees' cell phones, tablets.
     

  • News anchor/reporter at 5/10 pm for WTVF-TV (CBS) Nashville 1996-2006.
     

  • Medical reporter and host of Medical Monday;  weekly live show with physician interviews.
     

  • Emmy award winner for Documentary, "The Sweetness in Leaving."  Followed a breast cancer patient until the end of her life.
     

  • Emmy award for station community project on emergency preparedness following 9/11.
     

  • News anchor/reporter at WCCO-TV (CBS) Minneapolis 1990-1996. 
     

  • Assignments included travel to Cuba following a humanitarian aid group; reported from the Democratic National Convention, and various national sporting events including the Stanley Cup Finals and a PGA tournament.

 

 

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT:

 

  • Past Board Member of Gilda's Club Nashville (provides support for anyone touched by cancer) 
     

  • Past Board Member of American Heart Association.
     

  • Emcee of Governor's Arts Awards, Heartwalk, YMCA Women of Achievement Awards, and numerous other events and benefits throughout  Middle Tennessee.
     

  • Participant in Gilda's Gang; half marathon fundraiser for Gilda's Club
     

  • Featured in Style Blueprint's Faces of Nashville
