About Amy

Born and raised in a small central Ohio town, Amy loved where she grew up and her surroundings, but always dreamed of a career that would take her to different parts of the country and allow her to meet all kinds of people with various backgrounds and experiences.

It became apparent that broadcast journalism would give her that opportunity. It was the perfect blend of interviewing, writing and presenting stories that motivated her to major in broadcasting with a minor in political science. After attending the Democratic National Convention as a film runner, and Ronald Reagan's inauguration, she was hooked.

Her career took her from the mountains of West Virginia, to the beaches of North Carolina, back to her homestate of Ohio, then to Minneapolis and finally to Nashville which she has called home since 1996.  Her career in broadcasting and strong relationships in the community have led to representing the Go Red for Women campaign as well as hosting events and other video work.

Happily married to Keith, she has a grown stepson Keith, and a Westhighland Terrier, Jake, that keep her entertained.

When she isn't busy in Nashville, you can often find her at their lake home in Florence, Alabama. Her interests include travel, interior design, enjoying the outdoors, exercise, reading and entertaining.
